Current Positions Available

Fitter/Welder

Eldred is seeking a Fitter/Welder responsible for fitting together metal sheet and plate parts and welding to fabricate partial or complete assemblies.

The qualified candidate will have minimum 1 year experience as a fitter/welder in a job shop environment using Solid Wire Mig Welding process. Welding certification not necessary but is certainly a plus.

In addition the following qualifications must be met:

-Able to pass a welding test.

-Able to read blue prints.

-Able to read a tape measure.

-Able to utilize jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and various other welding related equipment and tools.

-Able to layout and mark pieces for welding assemblies.

-Able to operate Flux Core or Solid Wire Mig Welder (set amperage, spool wire, connect gas, etc).

-Able to lift at least 75 lbs.

Additional qualifications but not required:

-Bilingual

-Able to drive a forklift or pass a forklift safety test.

-Possess or able to pass ASTM or AWS Welding certifications.

-Able to utilize iron worker, sheet and plate rolls, press brake, oxy-acetylene torch, and other related metal fabrication equipment.

Pay commensurate with experience.
